The Charleston Daily News, July 17, 1871 reports that the Carolina Base Ball Club of Charleston played the Jasper of Moultrieville Saturday afternoon at Mt. Pleasant, with the Jasper winning.
Moultrieville was merged into Sullivan's Island SC (current pop. about 1,900). Sullivan's Island is about 10 miles from Charleston SC.
