The Bismarck Daily Tribune Aug. 17, 1887 says the Mitchell BBC declines a challenge from Woonsocket.
The Mitchell (SD) Daily Republican, Aug. 23, 1888 prints the schedule of the Mitchell Base Ball Association. Mitchell has six teams that will play each other. Each team is named after a Major League city [e.g., Detroit].
Mitchell (1890 pop. was about 2,200) SC is about 70 miles W of Sioux Falls.
