The Galveston Daily News, July 25, 1877 says the Longview “Daisy Cutters” will soon play a picked Marshall nine, and says the Daisy Cutters have recently beaten the Marshall, Tyler and Henderson clubs badly.

Tyler TX is about 90 miles SE of Dallas.
