The San Francisco Daily Evening Bulletin March 12, 1866, picks up a story from the Salt Lake City Reporter of March 6, saying Mr. Beadle, editor of the paper [J.. Beadle], Professor Keyes and others left their office to "witness a game of base ball being played on the arsenal grounds."
