The Green Mountain Base Ball Club of Jamaica, a few weeks since challenged the Mechanics Base Ball Club of Brattleboro, to play a match game at base ball with them, which was done on Saturday of last week, and the challengers won the day. The game lasted four hours, and the Green Mountain Club made 75 tallies to 18 made by the Brattleboro boys.
Jamaica VT (current pop. about 950) is in the SW section of the state, about 30 miles E of the New York border.
