The Green Mountain Base Ball Club of Jamaica, a few weeks since challenged the Mechanics Base Ball Club of Brattleboro, to play a match game at base ball with them, which was done on Saturday of last week, and the challengers won the day. The game lasted four hours, and the Green Mountain Club made 75 tallies to 18 made by the Brattleboro boys.
Brattleboro VT (1860 pop. about 3,800)is in the SE corner of the state on the Connecticut River and about 10 miles N of the Massachusetts border.
