The Bristol News, May 5, 1874, reports that “the young ladies of Sullin’s College were present last Saturday to witness a game of base ball by the B.B.B.C.”
Bristol is a town split by the VA/TN border, with a current population of about 18,000. Sullins College was in Bristol until it closed in 1976.
