William E. Akin, "West Virginia Baseball: A History, 1865-2000" p. 10 says that in 1866 residents of Parkersburg formed the Olympic BBC and the Blennerhassett BBC.
Parkersburg WV (1860 pop. about 2,500; 1870 pop. about 5,500)is about 90 miles SW of Wheeling.
