Bernard (Frenchy) Bartholomew Uhalt is married and has one daughter, Suzanne age 9. He lives in Oakland, California per the 1949 California League Gold Book. His nationality is French. He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1928 and played baseball, football and was on the track team. He was a member of the California state football championship prep team in 1927. His hobby is fishing. His ambition is to reach the top as a manager. In the 1933 Pacific Coast League he stole 62 bases, but lost the league lead to Fred Haney who swiped 63. He tied for the lead in stolen bases with 36 in the 1936 American Association. He led the 1938 Pacific Coast League in stolen bases with 32. He was second in batting average with .332 in the 1938 Pacific Coast League. He led the 1940 Pacific Coast League in walks received with 101.
