Help:Images on player pages

From SABR Encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Any player (or any other person) can have an image set to appear in the green box on the right side of the page (it's called the "infobox"). These images must be ones that are stored in the SABR Encyclopedia, because they need to be loaded along with the rest of the page.

Because the images need to be stored in the Encyclopedia, we need to be sure that the we choose images that are acceptable to use. This means, in most cases, that the images either have expired copyrights, or are licensed under Creative Commons licenses that allow us to use them.

You can add an image to a player's page by clicking the "edit" link, then pasting the name of the image into the "Image for infobox" field of the form. For example, the name of the image might be:

File:Matt Stairs-20060930-radiospike.jpg

If you need to learn how to add images to the Encyclopedia, please see the help page on Adding pictures to articles - you can find the page by clicking on "Help" on the left side of any page.
