Herbert Hayes Wilson, Jr. is married and has one son, Darrell who is 18 months old. He lives in Los Angeles, California per the 1949 California League Gold Book. His nationality is Irish-English. He graduated from Montbello High School in 1944 and played baseball, basketball and football and was named to the all-league baseball team. He is a graduate of Fullerton Junior College. He now attends Pepperdine College during the off-season. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the war.
