Jacob (Jake) George Donaldson is single and lives in Maspeth, New York per the 1949 California League Gold Book. His nationality is Scotch-German. He attended Newtown High School and played on the baseball team. His off-season occupation is "nothing steady" and has worked in a toy factory and as a truck driver. His hobby is watching ice hockey. Before entering pro ball, he played with the Glendale Tigers in the Queens Alliance semi-pro league. in 1946 he led his team in runs batted in with 91 and was fourth in the Eastern Shore League. He led the 1947 New England League outfielders in assists with 21. In three years he has played with two first place teams (Lynn, 1947-1948) and one second place team (Milford, 1946).
