  • The Twins were affiliated with the Minnesota Twins.
  • This team actually had four assigned managers, though only three led the team on the field. Tom Zimmer arrived in Wisconsin Rapids with the players, ran one workout, called his bosses in Minnesota, and resigned; he explained that the facilties, uniforms, and lighting were all inadequate--an opinion his employers disavowed[1]. Assistant farm director Jim Rantz covered the position for a couple games and was succeeded by Twins scout Carlos Pascual. Red Robbins was finally persuaded to take the position on for the remainder of the season; he arrived on May 27.
