- The Midwest League played a 140 game, three-division schedule which began on April 12 and ended on September 2.
- An All-Star Game was played on July 8 between All-Star Teams representing the league's Northern and Southern halves. The South won by a 4-2 score.
- A two-tier championship playoff was held after the season, with one slot filled by a wild-card. The best-of-five championship round was won by Kenosha.
