- The Midwest League played a 140 game, two-division, split-season schedule which began on April 9 and ended on September 2. The first half ended on June 19.
- An All-Star Game was played on June 21 between All-Star Teams representing the league's Northern and Southern divisions. The North won by a 3-2 score.
- A two-tier championship playoff was held after the season. The best-of-five championship round was won by South Bend.
