  • The Midwest League played a 140 game, two-division, split-season schedule which began on April 7 and ended on September 5. The first half ended on June 19.
  • An All-Star Game was played on June 21 between All-Star Teams representing the league's Eastern and Western divisions (Cedar Rapids was counted as an Eastern team). The East won by a 4-2 score.
  • A three-tier championship playoff was held after the season, with the championship won by to South Bend.
  • Total 2005 attendance: 3,468,775.
