- Named to NCAA College All-American first team
- Named outstanding amateur athlete in Delaware
- In 1959 won 9 and lost 3 with a 0.87 ERA, striking out 166 and walking only 33 in 103 innings pitched
- Fanned 21 batters in one game
- In 2008 was inducted into the University of Delaware's Athletics Hall of Fame[1].
