Originally signed for $1 million in July 2008, it was learned in 2011 that he lied about his age (July 15, 1989—not December 9, 1991) and his name (actually Jorge Leandro Guzman).^[1]

He was previously suspended for 50 games in July 2009 after he tested positive for a metabolite of Nandrolone, an anabolic steroid commonly sold as Deca-Durabolin.^[2]
