Bill Collins was a professional player.

Collins became sick after playing in a benefit game for Darby O'Brien on May 21. He would spend his winters catching for clubs in Key West, Cuba, and various locations in the South. Collins lived at 113 Hewes St in Brooklyn. ^[1]
