Achievements

  • Coached University of Texas for 29 years (1911-39) and served as advisory coach for a dozen more seasons, guided Texas baseball teams to a 513-180 record, a career .740 winning percentage. Disch coached 20 Southwest Conference championship teams.[1]
  • Inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008, along with Ownie Carroll and Jackie Robinson.[2]
  • Also elected to the Longhorn Hall of Honor, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, and the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.[1]
