Bing Russell was an outfielder for Carrollton in the Georgia-Alabama League in 1948 and 1949. He went on to play Deputy Clem Foster in Bonanza, and was owner of the independent Portland Mavericks minor league team.

  • His son, actor Kurt Russell, also played three years as a second baseman in the Angels' organization in the 1970s.
