His senior year at Ohio Northern (1995) saw him named to First team All-American (Division III), the Kent Tekulve Award winner (OAC's Most Valuable pitcher) while winning school record 14 games 134 strikeouts. Led Polar Bears in ERA for three seasons (2.70 in 1992; 2.49 in 1994, and 1.59 in 1995). His 31 career victories are the most, as is his 392 career strikeouts[1]. Played with the Grand Lake Mariners (Great Lakes Summer League) in 1993[2].
