Played high school ball for Bellaire High School in Texas, where he helped his teams go a combined 97-10 with three playoff appearances, including the Texas 5A and USA Today National Championship as a junior.^[1] Played his freshman collegiate season at Rice University before transferring to Tulane University^[2].
