  • Was All-Ohio in football in high school; he lettered in baseball, basketball, football and track; graduated in 1959.[1]
  • In 1958, he played for the New Philadelphia Quakers--the Ohio state semi-pro champs.[1]
  • Led the league in being awarded first base on catcher's interference a Claifornia League record 12 times in 1963.[1]
