Henry (Gene) Eugene Mitzel is single and lives in Red Bluff, California per the 1949 California League Gold Book. His nationality is Irish and German. He graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1947 and participated in baseball, basketball and football. He is an electrical worker during the off-season. He was third in stolen bases with 26 in the 1948 Far West League.
