Howard Armstrong was a professional player.

Was teaching school in Claridon, Ohio, when Connie Mack sent a telegram asking him to join the Philadelphia club at once. During the summer of 1911 he pitched 17 times for Kutinas, a class A team in the Cleveland area C.A.B.A., winning 15.[1]
