Jsmes Emil Valentine is married and has one daughter and lives in Akron, Ohio per the 1952 Pioneer League Index. His nationality is Welsh-French-German. He graduated from Akron East High School in 1945 and played baseball and football. He is a graduate of Weber College where he played football. He also attended the College Of Idaho. He is a clerk in a department store during the off-season. His hobby is entering football and basketball quiz contests. He played for the Akron American Legion Post 209 who were the 1942 Ohio Champions. He served in the U. S. Navy for two years. He led the 1948 Pioneer League in sacrifice hits with 17. He led the 1948 Pioneer League outfielders in assists with 25. He was third in the 1949 Pioneer League in RBI's with 114. He was second in the 1950 Pioneer League in bases on balls received with 117.
