• Brother of Charles Aspromonte and Bob Aspromonte.
• Hobbies include horse back riding, hunting, golf and photography.

[edit] Pre-professional career

• Played baseball, basketball and football in high school, earning all-city honors in all three. Was all-state in baseball.
• Played baseball and basketball at St John's University.

[edit] Achievements

• Named all-star shortstop in 1950 Coastal Plain League and 1951 California League.
• Voted MVP of 1951 San Jose.
• Led the 1957 Pacific Coast League in batting; named league's all-star second baseman.

[edit] Outside of baseball

• Served in the US Army Signal Corps for 22 months (1953-55); did radio broadcasting at SHAPE headquarters in Paris, France.
