Martin Emilio Carrasquel is married and has three sons and lives in Caracas, Venezuela per the 1952 California League Gold Book (Fourth Edition). He works in a shoe factory during the off-season. He is a member of the famous Carrasquel family which includes Chico Carrasquel, Chicago White Sox shortstop and Alex Carrasquel, former Washington Senators pitcher who is now a minor league manager.
