Martin (Marty) John Krug, Jr. is married and has two children and lives in Glendale, California per the 1952 Pioneer League Index. His nationality is German. He graduated from Hoover High School in Glendale in 1943 and played baseball. He attended Fresno State College and played baseball. He is an ironworker during the off-season. His hobby is fishing. He served in the U. S. Navy for two years. He is the son of Marty Krug, infielder with the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs in the majors and for many years a player and manager in the Pacific Coast League. He was second in the 1948 Sunset League in runs batted in with 157. He led the 1948 Sunset League first basemen in putouts with 1,111 and double plays with 97.
