Mervin (Merv) Willis Dubbers is single and lives in Taft, California per the 1949 California League Gold Book. He graduated from Taft Union High School in 1944 and participated in baseball, football, basketball and swimming. He was captain of the baseball team. He attended Taft Junior College for 1 1/2 years and was captain of the football team. He works in the post office during the off-season. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps for 14 months.
