He spent several years during his playing days in Mexico (1977-81). Worked for the Rangers, Expos, Tigers, Marlins, and Pirates. Guided the development of Orlando Cabrera. Is a member of the Hurst/Euless/Bedford Texas Hall of Fame (inducted February 2002) and the Clarinda, Iowa Hall of Fame (inducted November 2002).[1]
