Mars (Pete) D. Lewis is married and has two sons aged 7 and 4. He lives in San Mateo, California per the 1952 California League Gold Book (Fourth Edition). He attended the University Of Alabama and lettered in baseball and basketball. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard for three years. Although he has always played in the outfield in pro ball, he was one of the outstanding pitchers in service ball during World War II with the Alameda Coast Guard team.
