Pre-professional career

  • Played football at Indiana in 1917 and 1919; was captain of the 1919 squad.[1]
  • Played baseball at Indiana

Outside of professional baseball

  • Went back to his alma mater, serving as head coach in 1923 and 1924. He led the Hoosiers to a 11-23-1 mark and a 6-11 record in the Big Ten.[2]
