Talk:1947 Mattoon Indians

The Mattoon Journal-Gazette consistently called this team the White Sox during the 1947 season, which seems sufficiently authoritative for our purposes. All the standard sources say Mattoon Indians, for reasons which aren't clear to me. --jowo 12:42, 13 September 2009 (EDT)

I've an undated 1947 Mattoon at Mount Vernon scorecard with a player named Delmore pencilled in for this team. No other information; perhaps he's David Delmore? --jowo 06:39, 6 July 2009 (EDT)
