Mr. Dooley's year of birth is unclear. Both the History of Paterson and its Environs and his obituary suggest that he was born in 1878 (the book explicity, the obituary by stating his age). However, this is clearly inconsistent with his playing career. "Genealogical and memorial history of the State of New Jersey", a book published in 1910, suggests and 1866 date more consistent with his career and the date of his marriage. Dooley also appears in the 1870 Census as a 4-year-old. --GarverP01 12:28, 6 May 2010 (EDT)
