[edit] Email from neighbor, 2010-03-18

I received, at my SABR address, an email from Mr. Kennedy's friend and neighbor mentioning that Kennedy had played with the House of David, and "spent time in the Indians organization". I'm not sure if this meant he had played in a regular season game for any Indians-affiliated team. --GarverP01 10:58, 19 March 2010 (EDT)

[edit] Further information, 2010-03-19

Dale Kennedy was born in Conesville Iowa in 1917. While under contract with the White Sox he joined the US Army less than a year before Pearl Harbor. Once this travesty occurred he was sent to Germany to serve our country and was there until it ended. Returning to the United States he was informed that he no longer had a contract with White Sox. Though he has no regrets about serving our country he regrets what might have been in baseball. He played against Satchel Paige with The House of David and actually fouled off a pitch from him.

Received from the same neighbor. --GarverP01 15:31, 22 March 2010 (EDT)
