There is a significant disagreement in identification. The 1952 Pioneer League Index has the following to say about Jack Kelly:

John Joseph Kelly lives in Baldwin, Long Island, New York per the 1952 Pioneer League Index. His nationality is Irish. He attended George Washington High School and played baseball and basketball. He is a riveter in the aircraft industry during the off-season. He served in the U. S. Navy for two years. He led the 1951 Interstate League second basemen in fielding average with .974.

He was shown as being born in New York City on 10-Aug-1923.

Furthermore, death information from the Social Security Death Index (097-12-2383) appears to match up with the Pioneer League Index demographic data, with him passing in Mesa AZ 26-May-1989.
