Often misspelled as Strand, including in the 1958 Baseball Blue Book and a couple movie trivia websites. Although both the Blue Book and the TSN umpire card have him as a 1958 Midwest League umpire, he was released before the season began. --jowo 10:06, 20 September 2009 (EDT)
