[edit] Possible engagement with 1949 Lamesa Lobos

Kohout's son emailed the Encyclopedia email account to let us know that his father played for the 1949 Lobos. It seems likely that he started the season there and finished in Bremerton (one class up) before getting ten games in. He is apparently in two pictures on this page: http://www.texasescapes.com/TOWNS/Lamesa/Lamesa-Lobos-Baseball-in-West-Texas.htm (fifth from the left in the 1949 team picture, according to his son). --GarverP01 11:08, 5 January 2010 (EST)
