  • Was Southern California "Player of the Year" in 1957 after compiling a 15-1 record.[1]
  • In 1960, he was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 1st year player draft, but Commissioner Ford Frick ruled that Chicago had reached its player limit.[1]
  • Pitched for the Cincinnati Reds in the 1962 Winter Florida Instructional League.[1]
