  • Pitched consecutive no-hitters in semi-pro.
  • Was high school's MVP as senior.
  • Played Little League, Senior League and Big League
  • Played semi-pro ball for Savannah in 1972 and Millen, Georgia in 1973.
  • Earned a bachelor's in Physical Education at Georgia Southern University.
