Drafted in the 13th round of the 1982 baseball draft after playing shortstop in baseball and tailback and defensive back in football (wearing #45 in honor of his favorite player, Archie Griffin) at St. John's High School in Ashtabula, Ohio. Found success and fame as a college football coach, winning national championships at Florida in 2006 and 2008.[1]
