  • Resided in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1952.

  • During his first game with Greenville in 1938 he picked off two baserunners in one inning.
  • Catching the opening day game at Saint Louis with Pittsburgh in 1946 was his greatest thrill.
  • Broke his leg in 1946 and was out of the game for three years.
  • Was named coach of the Sacramento Solons prior to the start of the 1953 season.
