The Blackfoot Register, June 6, 1885 reports on a June 7th game [sic] at Pocatello between the Pocatello and Shoshone nines, won by Pocatello 25 to 13.
Pocatello ID (1890 pop. about 1,650) is in the SW part of the state. Blackfoot ID (1880 pop about 300; 1890 pop. about 550) is about 25 miles N of Pocatello. If the Shoshone nine was from Shoshone ID, they slogged about 110 miles E to play at Pocatello.
