Corinth beat Iuka in a match game on July 4th for the “championship of North Mississippi.” Memphis Daily Appeal, July 7, 1876.

Iuka MS (pop. about 300)is the NE corner of the state, about 210 miles NE of Jackson, and 20 miles SE of Corinth.
