The Idaho Signal of Lewiston, Feb. 7, 1873, reports: "Base Ball Club--Several of the young men of the town have organized a base-ball club..."
Lewiston ID (`870 pop. about 1500)is on the eastern border of Washington and about 30 miles south of Moscow ID.
As of August 2012, this club is the first known base ball club in Idaho.
