The Quincy Whig, May 19, 1868 says the Occidental Juniors of Quincy beat the Hawkeye Juniors 31-15 at Keokuk, IA May 18th.
Quincy IL () is about 35 miles S of Keokuk IA; both are Mississippi river towns. Keokuk IA (1860 pop. about 8,000; 1870 pop. about 12,800 is about 150 N of St. Louis MO and about 10 miles SW of Des Moines.
(Note: the news note does not specify a state for Quincy. Quincy IA is about 200 miles from Keokuk, while Quincy IL is much closer.)
