Spread of baseball: Home -> Michigan -> Early baseball in Michigan/Club 40
Location Michigan
Year 1867
Modern address Monrnoe MI
City Monroe
State MI
Country US
Nickname Union School BBC
Found by Peter Morris

The Union School BBC is the first club listed in Monroe County in Peter Morris' Baseball Fever (2003).

The City of Monroe is the largest town (pop. about 20,700) in the county, and we surmise that the Union School club was from that city. Monroe is about 35 miles SW of Detroit in the SE corner of the state.
