The Janesville Gazette of October 11, 1866 reported in Beloit that the previous week, 4,000 were on the grounds to witness a game played between the Freeport and Beloit boys. Unknown if this is the Beloit Badgers or the Olympians of Beloit College. (See entries for Beloit Badgers and Olympians of Beloit College under Wisconsin clubs.)
